Chinooks New England! is an organization devoted to promoting the Chinook dog in the northeastern region of the country. We have been an official affiliate club of the Chinook Owners Association, Inc since 1999.  We offer our members opportunities to:
  • learn about sledding, skijoring, carting, Chinook history, litter evaluations, temperament testing, conformation handling, obedience training, first aid and other dog related activities
  • show off their dogs at conformation, obedience and agility shows
  • socialize with other Chinooks and their owners at different events

We have really grown since 1999!  Our first few events drew between 14 and 20 Chinooks and 30 people.  Our events today sometimes draw more than 60 Chinooks and over a 100 people!  We were proud hosts of the 2005 National Chinook Specialty, held in New Hampshire.  This three day event drew nearly 100 Chinooks and as many people.
